Those  scales are more relevant to beginners guitar lessons as well as to particular types of music e.g., the minor pentatonic scale works well for songs played by power chords like rock, blues, metal music.

The major pentatonic scale is suitable for usually songs with open chords like country, pop, country rock while the blues scale for rock, blues, and metal music. But you can pick any scale you want to play and any music in your own style. Nevertheless, some of scales work more superior than other. For a wonderful melody, fingers connection practice beginning on the keynote fix on that the next note will vary than the previous note (lower or higher than the 1st note). This particular point has a very important act to play in your beginners guitar lessons and should be taken care of properly.

After selecting a scale, you have to record a background in the key you want to practice. The recording shouldn’t be complicated. For this, just choose an acoustic guitar. Record the backing track for 5 to 10 minutes interval. From this, you will get more time for practice and at the same time would be able to apply your ideas.

Try to play just one note; it‘s good if it would be the keynote. Try to play all possible of different rhythms, slides, bends etc. A backing track always helps you. You will react in a different way to certain chord quality, which eventually would help you a lot in beginners guitar lessons.

You should prefer your favorite scales on all keys especially when you work with singers. Every key has its own personality; some have a pleasant feeling, while others are stunning.

Try to play a “G” minor pentatonic scale over a previously recorded background in the key of “G”. Then, play a “B” minor pentatonic scale over a pre-recorded background in the key of “B”.
