You can adjust the string pitch to a higher level by tightening the tuning peg, or attain a lower level by loosening it. The next step in learning the guitar is the way of holding it. If you are right-handed, you hold the neck with your left hand, and the opposite, if you are left-handed. You will notice that the body of guitar related instruments rests on the right leg, while the back portion is located next to the chest area.
The 1st string which is the thinnest among the strings can be found at the bottom near the legs. When you strum the guitar, you should hold the pick with your forefinger and thumb of your right hand. Hold it firmly and feel the sound of each string by holding down on the frets and strumming on the sound hole. After you practice doing this technique, you’re now ready to begin the 1st lesson.
